Interior design trends inspired by ultra-hip designers are the main attraction at a very special show home in Cwmbran.
The five-bedroom Windermere home at Redrow’s popular John Fielding Gardens has been fully furnished by a team of professional interior designers to create a sophisticated and stylish look, intended to fuel the imaginations of visitors to this stunning property..
Debby Pavitt, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said: “Computer generated images, fly-throughs and other high-tech marketing devices are all well and good but, for many people, you can’t beat the touchy, feely experience of a show home. The design of the home at John Fielding Gardens is based around two parents and a teenage boy, and has been influenced by designers like Ralph Lauren.”
The hallway provides a dramatic entrance to the home, with reflective wallpapers and a colour scheme incorporating cream, taupe and brown tones.
Indulging in the Ralph Lauren style is the downstairs gentleman’s study, with its dark-wood furnishings and rich styling.
Also downstairs is the glamorous sitting room with its luxurious sofas, opulent silk and velvet fabric touches and stylish red colour scheme.
The formal dining room on the ground floor is a real centre piece for the house, with a big feature made of a grand side table against a wall accented with ultra contemporary flock wallpaper.
The glamorous red theme continues in the dining room, and a centrepiece is made of a large wooden dining table. Silk curtains add a further touch of lavish glamour.
At the hub of the house is the family room. The theme here is peaceful and floral patterns and fabrics have been used, and a glass and chrome table and chairs provide a contemporary central feature.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a lavish oriental theme, and feature furniture such as an oriental armoire cabinet lend air of authenticity. Glamour is also provided by a dramatic crystal and black droplet chandelier.
The master bedroom also features an en-suite shower room and a walk in wardrobe.
Bedroom two on the top floor has been made into an en-suite guest bedroom featuring softer neutral colours with red and gold touches. There is also a youthful second guest bedroom on this floor, featuring tall mirrors and some punchy artwork.
Bedroom four will appeal to a boy in his late teens with a red, white and blue colour theme, creating references to Welsh rugby and keeping the decor firmly rooted in local culture.
Finally, the fifth bedroom continues the oriental theme from the master bedroom, and has been transformed into a relaxing zen paradise using ultra neutral colours and oriental features.
Currently available at John Fielding Gardens is a selection of handsome detached four and five-bedroom houses with prices starting at £349,950 for a four-bedroom Tamar house type. A deluxe five-bedroom Windermere house similar to the show home starts at £481,950.
