Apartments make a statement

Thu, Mar 22nd 2007, 11:00

Altrincham home buyers seeking to make a statement with their next purchase are spoilt for choice at Stamford Brook.

For the eco-friendly community of new homes set on the edge of the Dunham Massey estate is the setting for an exceptional apartment building that creates an impressive welcome at the entrance to the development. Every property at the 710-home in the venture has been designed to be ultra-efficient in its use of energy, water and building materials.

The building is the perfect antidote for home buyers who desire more for their money and an escape from city life. And the larger environment of Stamford Brook is ideal for people at all stages of the property buying ladder – first time buyers, couples, or empty nesters.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (North West) explains the appeal: “The Statement Building creates a great impression as people enter Stamford Brook and its exterior design has been thoughtfully inspired by the local architecture surrounding our venture. All the apartments within the building have different layouts, so each buyer will get an individual property – and we’ve increased the specification to set them apart from the rest.”

The majority of apartments within the building are two-bedroom properties, with prices starting at just £166,000, however there are two triplex apartments, each with three-bedrooms, priced at around £235,000.
Internally, the specification has been carefully thought out to appeal to home buyers who appreciate a move with the minimum amount of fuss. Redrow is including integrated fridge-freezer and washer/dryer within the fully fitted kitchen, while both the bathroom and the kitchen benefit from stylish down lighters to create the perfect ambience. The master-bedroom boasts fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room, while the main bathroom is also semi-tiled – meaning all that’s left is for the owner to move straight in.

Many of the homes will be ready to move in to in June 2007 – so if purchasers buy now they will be in their new apartment in just three months. A car parking space comes with each property.

Patsy adds: “There may be a glut of conventional apartment schemes in Manchester city centre and even in Altrincham, however none have the unique location and natural environment that Stamford Brook offers, which boasts a newly-restored Sinderland Brook which runs through the development, the green recreational space which promotes outdoor pursuits, and the cycle paths and walkways to encourage less use of cars. All of this is on the doorstep.”

Redrow is not just creating apartments at Stamford Brook - a wide range of property types are available including starter homes, townhouses, right up to five-bedroom detached homes – creating a balanced and varied community of people in all stages of life.
