Sneak a peek at new homes in Norton

Tue, Mar 27th 2007, 11:00

Looking for the perfect new home and just not sure what would suit you?

If so, there is now some extra inspiration for buyers in the shape of a new addition to the show complex at Priorpot Mews in Norton, near Malton.

Making life a little easier for property hunters who like to take a look around a home before committing themselves, Redrow is opening a new Teign view home at its Priorpot Mews development this week.

The Teign is an impressive three-storey home that offers as much in style as it does in versatility. Julie Rayner, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), wanted to give would-be purchasers a taste of what this property, newly released for sale at the Scarborough Road venture, has to offer.

She says: “The desire to see a property ‘in the flesh’ hasn’t waned, despite the rise in people buying off-plan. Being able to wander around a home and imagine how you’d put your stamp on it is really exciting, and we wanted to give our customers the chance to do this. This is especially useful in three-storey homes, which some buyers coming from a conventional two-storey house can find difficult to visualise internally.”

Opening with a spacious hallway, including cloakroom, the Teign offers an impressive amount of family space, including a family room to the front of the property. The kitchen and dining area, along with separate utility room, can be found to the rear of the ground floor and patio doors leading into the garden bring both easy access and lots of natural light.

Moving upward, the first floor is home to the main rear-facing lounge, which is of considerable size and also gives owners extra privacy being away from street level. A cloakroom is located on this floor, while the master bedroom with en-suite is found at the front of the property. The top floor holds the three further bedrooms, one with fitted wardrobes, and the family bathroom.

One clear benefit of the Teign, currently priced from £229,995, is the amount of flexibility it offers in terms of the way owners can organise their living space. For instance, the family room on the ground floor could be used as a home office or playroom, while the bedroom on the first floor could be reserved for guests.

Julie says: “There’s a lot of scope for individualising this home, and those who come see it at Priorpot Mews will be able to start planning their dream living space right away. The development itself is also flourishing as more people move in, and our maturing street scenes and growing sense of community are proving irresistible to buyers.”

Located in the semi-rural village of Norton, near Malton, Priorpot Mews features a collection of housing types from two-bedroom apartments to two, three and four-bedroom homes in a variety of styles including mews homes, semi-detached and link detached properties and three storey townhouses.

Other three and four-bedroom designs are currently available at the development, with prices starting at £169,995. Superb transport links to the A64 gives easy access to both York and Scarborough, ideal for commuters and those who like to get out and about.

The Teign can be viewed at the development from Tuesday to Sunday 10am - 5.30pm and Monday 1pm – 4pm, and the sales consultant can be contacted on 01653 694706.
