Dunfermline’s property hot spot

Thu, Apr 26th 2007, 23:00

As temperatures starts to soar, so does the demand for new homes at Redrow’s popular Middlebank Rise in Dunfermline.

Since its launch late last year, the venture has been tempting buyers with its vast range of properties at prices to suit all pockets. And as the weather has heated up in the last few weeks, the homes are being snapped up at an ever-growing pace.

Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland) says: “Now that spring is in the air, many people will start to think about starting afresh in their dream new home. This is certainly proving true in Dunfermline, as since the Easter weekend – traditionally the time of new beginnings – we’re seeing a lot more people popping into Middlebank Rise.”

And the up-and-coming development is showing sure signs of being a hit, as Helen Brogan, Redrow’s sales consultant at Middlebank Rise, is reporting a record number of sales in recent weeks.

She says: “The temperature is definitely rising at Middlebank Rise – we’ve sold around 9 properties in the last week alone. When the sun is shining the development really comes into its own –neighbouring Pinkerton Valley provides lovely green surroundings and we’ve got both villas and apartments available, catering for all types of buyer. My arms are starting to ache from putting up sold signs!”

With prices starting from just £119,995 for a two-bedroom apartment, even first time buyers can afford to call Middlebank Rise home. Growing and established families won’t be disappointed either, as stylish three and five-bedroom villas are also available right now.

Diana continues: “At Middlebank Rise, residents really do have it all. Dunfermline - with its shops, restaurants and amenities - is just a short drive away, and the semi-rural location offers a tranquil and relaxing way of life. This is definitely a destination on the up, and as people move in and the community builds, we’re expecting interest to go through the roof.

“Great links to the M90 and the Forth Road Bridge make commuting a piece of cake, and our brand new homes are ideal for busy people who want an easy-to-maintain property. By offering more choice, more style and more value for money, we’re really appealing to what home hunters want and need.”

Middlebank Rise is the company’s latest venture in Dunfermline - following on from the successful completion of more than 700 homes at Masterton Park - offering even more choice to local buyers.

The new development will eventually comprise 200 new homes on just under 18 acres of land and is set in Dunfermline’s flourishing Eastern Expansion Area, with the town centre just a short drive away. The development is ideal for commuters with regular bus services in the area and opportunities to commute to Edinburgh via the Forth road and rail bridges.
