Calling all footballers wives

Thu, Jun 1st 2006, 11:00

The focus at this summers World Cup may be on the player wearing the number nine shirt, but at one housing development in Swindon, it’s the footballers’ wives who’ll be made to feel ‘number one’.

At Redrow’s Abbey Manor development in Swindon, Redrow Homes is treating the footballing ‘widows’ to a fabulous Footballers Wives style event, complete with a beauticians on hand to give all visitors the ultimate indulgent experience, usually reserved for the likes of Victoria, Colleen and co.

Visitors to Abbey Manor this Saturday will be able indulge in relaxing treats such as facials, express manicures and hand and head massages.

With the world cup kicking off, Redrow Homes have decided to lay on champagne and healthy nibbles for female visitors to selected developments. An afternoon’s pampering could be just the ticket for wives or girlfriends of football-mad men.

Sue Pittaway, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales) says: “We all see the pictures and read the stories about Victoria Beckham and Colleen McCloughlin and the life of luxury that they lead. We have arranged this special event to give our visitors the ‘footballer’s wives’ treatment as they may feel a little neglected during the world cup.

“Before taking the time to explore the winning selection of homes at the development, the ladies can sip champagne and enjoy some relaxing massages to help take their minds off the football. The good news is that people don’t need a bank balance like the Beckham’s to afford to buy a Redrow home. With a terrific range of fantastic homes there’s bound to be something to suit every taste.”

Redrow is hoping visitors will be keen to enjoy the celebrity lifestyle at one of their excellent homes at the Abbey Manor development in Swindon.

Surrounded by a veil of hedgerows and trees and featuring homes inspired by Georgian architecture, this Redrow development boasts a prime position within the wider venture of Priory Vale and features a varied choice of elegant and stylish homes including two, three and four-bedroom townhouses, semi and detached properties.

Current availability includes a one-bedroom apartment from £117,995 rising to £234,995 for a four-bedroom townhouse with lots of excellent homes to choose from in between.

Abbey Manor is situated close to Swindon town centre, the M4 motorway and local amenities are nearby, including the Orbital District Shopping Centre, two schools, a health centre, restaurants and a health club.
