Halfway point for Charter Place

Fri, May 11th 2007, 11:00

They say the proof is in the pudding, and property buyers have been proving that at Redrow’s new homes venture at Charter Place in Oldbury, where half the available homes have already been sold.

All types of buyer are well catered for by Charter Place, with property ranging from one-bedroom apartments, right through to four-bedroom detached homes – which means first-timers, and people trading up or down are equally at home.

Another reason for the desirability comes in the form of an unbeatable location. The popular venture offers a fantastic central base for residents, who want to be within easy reach of Birmingham, Wolverhampton or Halesowen, making it an obvious choice for professionals and busy families alike.

And with a newly-released new phase, the success of Charter Place looks set to continue throughout 2007.

Linda Androlia, sales director for Redrow Homes (West Midlands) says: “Oldbury is an up-and-coming area, and our properties are attracting people who want to benefit from this, whilst also living a great lifestyle in one of our stylish, easy-to-maintain new homes.

“We’ve got both three and four-bedroom homes available at the moment, which would suit fledging and established families, as well as young professionals who want the space for a home office or for guests to stay over. And now that over half the homes are occupied, there’s a fabulous community evolving – now is a great time to become a part of that.”

One of the homes available at the moment is the three-bedroom Lambourne.

Priced at £164,950, this mid-terrace townhouse has a trick up its sleeve, with a ready-made loft conversion offering a whole extra floor of living space. The ground floor comprises of the kitchen, and a large rear-facing lounge and dining area, as well as a cloakroom. Two bedrooms and the main bathroom are on the first floor, with a luxurious master bedroom with en-suite shower room on the top of the house.

The layout of the home lends itself to creative usage – if a buyer doesn’t need all three-bedrooms, one of the middle floor rooms could be used as a gym or playroom, or those who like to entertain could use the top floor master suite as an extra-special guest room.

The larger four-bedroom Ouse is also available, priced at £224,950, and this property offers both a single garage and desirable detached living.

Within seven miles of Birmingham city centre, Charter Place has the convenience of being close to the city, yet offering a leafy retreat in the shape of Woodgate Valley Country Park a mile away, with its 450 acres of meadows, hedgerows and woodland.

Direct bus routes to the city centre and Merry Hill, plus excellent shopping and leisure facilities right on the doorstep in Oldbury and Quinton, means that residents are never far from the action, and access to the M5 is also nearby.
