One great city, two great reasons to buy

Those on the home hunt in Glasgow are spoilt for choice – as award-winning Redrow offers two prime ventures to the west of the city centre.
Offering easy access to city life and all its amenities, Route 1 West in Anniesland and soon-to-launch Riverside Point in Braehead are tempting buyers with their appealing mix of stylish properties and convenient location.
Located just two miles away from Glasgow’s bohemian West End - with eclectic its mix of cafes, gallery’s and shopping - Route 1 West offers a range of high specification two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as a select number of impressive four-bedroom townhouses.
Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland) says: “Glasgow is a thriving and cosmopolitan city, and those who enjoy the sophisticated lifestyle on offer here naturally want a home to match.
“Our apartments are ideal for young professionals and couples, as well as downsizers and those who want a new, easy to maintain property, while our townhouses represent a rare opportunity to purchase a brand new family-sized property in such a central location. With both an apartment and townhouse now dressed as fully furnished show homes and open to view, there’s no better time to pop into the development and see what’s on offer for yourself.”
Currently available at Route 1 West are two and three-bedroom apartments, with prices starting from £176,000 and £215,500 respectively, along with four-bedroom three-storey townhouses – with integral single garage - priced from £299,995.
A two-bedroom apartment comes complete with fully-fitted kitchen and living space, main bathroom and en-suite shower room to one of the bedrooms – which means that friends buying together to get on the property ladder are each able to have their own space. Some apartments also benefit from Juliet balconies.
And for those who can move before the end of June, Redrow is offering a range of enticing incentives – but would-be buyers should act soon, as there are only a few properties remaining for summer entry.
The development itself is situated just off the A82 Great Western Road, with Glasgow city centre just five miles away in one direction, and Loch Lomond in the other. The M8 is nearby, and the area is well served by public transport - trains from Anniesland station take less than 15 minutes to Glasgow Queen Street.
Meanwhile, anticipation is building in Braehead as the launch of Redrow’s latest venture, Riverside Point, is fast approaching.
The exciting flagship scheme, off Kings Inch Road, will eventually comprise 342 properties in a variety of styles, including one and two-bedroom apartments, two and three-bedroom terrace and semi-detached houses, three and four-bedroom townhouses and four-bedroom detached homes.
Interest is already high, and Diana is expecting an enthusiastic response when the first homes are released for sale in June. She says: “We’ve got a really great range of product at Riverside Point, and the family homes we are going to have available seem to be particularly in demand. Larger homes are extremely desirable in this area, and so tempted purchasers should join our priority mailing list today to make sure they’re first in line to snap up their dream property – and to get an invitation to the VIP launch.”
Riverside Point delivers an enviable location, within very easy reach of local attractions such as the ‘X-scape’ indoor ski centre and Braehead shopping centre and retail park, which now has over one million square feet of shopping and leisure facilities and includes top high street names such as Topshop, HMV and Sainsbury’s.
Situated just under 10 miles west of Glasgow city centre, Riverside Point dwellers can also access the bustling, vibrant heart of the city centre at ease. Travel connections in Braehead are excellent, with easy access to the M8 leading to Greenock, Kilmarnock and beyond.
Diana adds: “When sales launch in early June, early bird buyers will be able to benefit from fantastic first release prices – making the development even more affordable for people on all rungs of the ladder. This is an exciting time for Redrow in Scotland, and more exclusive launches are planned for 2007.”
Although prices have yet to be finalised, they are expected to start from around £90,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and from circa £240,000 for a four-bedroom detached home.
