Land of opportunity for new recruit

With over 8 years experience in the home building industry, land manager Sunil Plaha can assure his new employers that he has what it takes to keep them at the top.
Redrow Homes (Midlands) newest recruit comes with a wealth of experience, most recently working as land manager for Harron Homes and is an active board member for Family Housing Association (Birmingham) Ltd.
Sunil says: “Redrow have always been a strong forward thinking player in the industry and has a trusted and respected name with associated professionals and buyers alike.
“I wanted to be part of the team at Redrow as it has always been a strong proactive company with a great range of products to match any opportunity, along with a first class team of professionals in house to deal with making those opportunities we have a reality.”
Born and bred in Birmingham, Sunil has a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology from South Bank University, London, and is currently working towards an MSc at University of Central England in Real Estate and Management.
Sunil continues: “I am looking forward to strengthening the already excellent land team and producing new opportunities that will make sure that the Redrow flag is flying in as many places as possible.
“Long term I am looking forward to a rewarding and fulfilling career with Redrow under the guidance and leadership of managing director Alan Dorn and land director Ian Young.”
Sunil’s role at Redrow will include seeking land for development, identifying planning requirements or constraints that may impact on development, designing schemes that maximise site potential, financial appraisals and contract negotiations.
Ian Young, land director for Redrow Homes (Midlands) says: “We’re pleased to welcome Sunil to our team, and are sure that with his experience and enthusiasm for the job, he will be a tremendous success at Redrow.”
Redrow Midlands currently have developments across the midlands, including the successful apartment scheme, Jupiter, in Birmingham city centre, Dickens Heath in Solihull and City Wharf in Lichfield, as well as a variety of starter ‘Debut’ homes in Castle Vale, Burton-upon-Trent and Hilton, near Derby.
