After a resounding 4-0 pre-season victory over local rivals Ashford Town (Middlesex), Ashford Town FC have further boosted their hopes for the new season with a five-figure sponsorship deal with an award-winning housebuilder.
For the second year in a row, Redrow Home will sponsor Ashford’s first team, this season to the generous tune of £10,000.
Coupled with the recent news that Clive Walker, manager at Dover for the past two years, has taken the helm at the club and with Ian Wright as Director of Football Strategy, hopes for the coming season have a nice rosey tint.
ATFC’s owner, Don Crosbie, says: “We are overjoyed with the support that Redrow has shown our first team for the second year in a row. It’s not just the financial backing, but the general support that we need. Redrow is a big name known across the country and e a first rate sponsor and we are so pleased to have kept them for another year. It’s a great partnership. With Redrow’s help we will continue the redevelopment of our Homelands ground.”
Ashford face Kingstonian at the Homelands in their first match of the season on 18th August. Don adds: “For this season we are aiming to build a profile for the club. Ashford is an up and coming town, and we want to make the club big again and get the fans through the gates.”
Caron Hutchins, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Eastern) says: “We’re really proud to be sponsoring Ashford again and hope to help with their push to the top of the table. With Ian and Clive on board and the good omens from the pre-season victories, including over Ashford Town Middlesex and Rye United, things are shaping up well for the new season.
“At Redrow we always strive to become involved in the communities in which we build, and with a housing development in Ashford, this is the perfect opportunity to do just that.”
