EducationCorsham has a small selection of schools but every one of them can boast the very highest standards. Corsham Primary was recently rated ‘outstanding’ across the board by Ofsted, while Corsham Regis Primary boasts ‘outstanding behaviour’ amongst its overall ‘good’ rating. The town’s high school, The Corsham School, is also rated ‘good’ with ‘outstanding behaviour’, and Wiltshire College has a centre providing further education in the town.
The local independent school, Heyward Prep, was ranked 17th in the country in the Sunday Times Top 100 prep Schools, and there are excellent independent senior schools in nearby Bath.

LeisureCorsham Community Campus has a wide variety of sports on offer, including a swimming pool, while golfers can try the courses at Kingsdown and Whitley. Corsham also has many popular sports clubs, including football, rugby, hockey and bowls. For a more leisurely day out, take a walk around Corsham Court and Park, with its Capability Brown designed gardens.
For evening entertainment, head for the Pounds Arts Centre in the town for a varied programme of live performances, films and art projects. The nearest cinema is the Reel Astoria in Chippenham, while the Theatre Royal in Bath is a regular stop for many of the big name music and theatre tours.

ShoppingCorsham has held a market for hundreds of years and you’ll still find a great range of fresh local produce in the town centre every Tuesday. There’s also a Farmers’ Market every third Saturday and regular specialist markets including French and Italian.
The town centre is home to a good selection of shops, including the Martingate Centre, and you’ll find many more at Emery gate and borough Parade shopping centres in nearby Chippenham. Chippenham also offers out of town shopping at Hathaway Retail Park.

TransportThe Great Western Mainline passes through the town, and none other than the Prime Minister himself has backed the campaign for the town’s railway station to be reopened. Until it is, trains can be reached at Chippenham Station, around 4.5miles away, with regular services to Bath in 13minutes, Bristol in 28minutes and direct to London Paddington in an hour and a quarter.
The main A4 runs past the development, with connections to the M4 just 8miles away to the north of Chippenham. Chippenham is 4.5miles, Melksham is 7miles, Bath is 9miles, Trowbridge is 10miles and Bristol is 26miles. Bristol Airport is 30miles away, with Heathrow approximately 90miles away via the M4.
