The area surrounding The Birches has a great choice of schools and colleges. The closest primary is Park Road Academy Primary School, which is a short walk away. There are also Altrincham C of E Aided Primary School and St. Vincent’s Catholic Primary School. For secondary school pupils there are some excellent local grammar schools, including Loreto Grammar, Altrincham Grammar and Sale Grammar. Altrincham College of Arts is just over two miles from the development and Ashton-on-Mersey School is situated five minutes away. The Birches development lies in West Timperley, which is situated in the market town of Altrincham just to the south of Manchester. The area is close to the main A56, linking the town to the M60 in one direction and the M56 in the other. Altrincham Interchange is only five minutes from the site, providing bus, train and Metrolink connections. The station is at the western end of the Metrolink network, with access to Manchester Piccadilly, Victoria and Deansgate. There are also trains direct to Manchester Piccadilly and Chester. There are plenty of activities to keep people of all ages happy in Altrincham. The local Apollo Cinema is only two miles from The Birches and screens the latest films.
