Amenities

The local area is well served by extensive amenities. Doctors and dentist surgeries are in the nearby town of Malpas, a 10 minute drive. Malpas Dental Surgery is easily found on the High Street and Laurel Bank Surgery is the nearest GP’s centre. Both of these practices are usually able to accept new patients through the year, which is useful for residents moving into The Courtyard development. The nearest hospital is in Chester and is the Countess of Chester Hospital, but there is also a private Nuffield Health Hospital in Wrexham as well. In addition to medical services, Malpas is also the location of the nearest Post Office. A number of local churches serve residents’ spiritual interests.

A number of schools are within distance of the development. For primary age children, two schools are within an approximately 20-25 minute walk - the Tilston Parochial Church of England Primary School and the Clutton Church of England Primary School, both of which have nurseries as well for the youngest pupils. Bishop Heber High School in Malpas is the closest and has strong links to the local primary schools, but there are also several other secondary schools in Chester including The King’s School and The Queen’s School.
