Show Apartment Style at The West Works

Our new Show Apartment at The West Works, close to Osterley Park in Southall, West London, is a serious showcase for contemporary apartment style.

This impressive two-bedroom property has been designed so visitors can appreciate the space, layout, and specification. The attention to detail is evident everywhere you look, with spacious rooms, clever storage, a separate utility area and high-quality appliances.

Cushions provide splashes of colour in burnt orange and deep blue, with a hint of metallic.

Specification & Interior Design

Our Head of Interior Design, Emma Brindley, gave us a tour of this fabulous apartment, taking us through the specification and interior design elements that she and her team selected.

“The open plan kitchen, dining and living area, with its adjoining balcony has easy living and socialising at its heart.

“We’ve selected a high quality kitchen by Leicht, known for their modern designs for contemporary living. The ‘frosty white’ gloss cabinets contrast with the ‘luna’ silestone worktop, built-in appliances are by Siemens and underfoot is flooring by Amtico in dusky walnut.

“Dulux ‘quartz grey’ is the backdrop paint colour throughout the apartment, brought to life with accent feature walls – like the Tektura herringbone effect textured wallpaper with light reflectance qualities for the living area.

“The choice of wallpaper oozes quality, as does the deep weave cream fabric of the formal sofa and foot stool. Cushions provide splashes of colour in burnt orange and deep blue, with a hint of metallic.

“The hand painted wenge wood TV cabinet is bespoke made and there’s a gorgeous feature chair – inspired by my visit to Maison et Objet in Paris earlier this year. The open detail of the chair back is very in-vogue, while intricate stud detail and piping provide the finishing touches.

“Other statement making pieces include the antique bronze base of the circular glass topped dining table, with its geometric shapes, and the glass topped antique brass coffee tables.

The master bedroom

“With its neutral quartz grey paint and feature wall in stunning Elitis Eclat wallpaper, the master bedroom is light and fresh with a very calming and classic feel. The carpet is ‘limestone’ and the fitted wardrobes are in a soft white glass finish.

“There’s a bespoke long, low headboard in a soft grey fabric, with panels framed in wenge wood, while the polished chrome base of the bedside lamps matches the handles of the cabinets. The accent colour of burnt orange is introduced subtly through the piping on the luxurious silk cushions, and we’ve included a bespoke made embroidered throw.

“The windows have been dressed with a beautifully patterned voile for privacy and weave fabric curtains which are hung ceiling to floor.

Bathroom and en-suites

“The bathrooms are as luxurious as they are practical, featuring high end styling befitting of a boutique hotel. The tiles are by Johnsons, with ‘moonstone natural’ on the floor and ‘weathered white textured’ on the walls. A vanity unit in ‘Samoa teak’ is a superb addition.

“We created a truly aspirational Show Apartment at The West Works that people will feel immediately ‘at home’ in. It’s filled with design inspiration for those looking for a high-end contemporary apartment look.”
