Established in 2002, Euxton Girls FC has grown dramatically from one team to 19 and covers all age groups from under seven to an open age women’s team.
Through our Sycamore Manor Community Grants scheme, the club has received a £500 donation that will be used to provide qualifications to new coaches, including first aid and safeguarding.
The funding is linked to our Sycamore Manor development in Whittle-le-Woods, Chorley
“On behalf of the club I’d like to thank Redrow Lancashire for this funding. It really will help the club tremendously and will give new coaches the training they need to give their teams a solid start,” said Michael Taylor, secretary of Euxton Girls FC.
“We’ve had two years of uncertainty due to the pandemic; and we’re looking to consolidate and build on what we have. We are also celebrating our 20th year this year, it would be amazing if we could mark this anniversary with 20 teams!”
Sian Pitt, sales director for Lancashire said: “Through our community grants we support a diverse mix of community groups and good causes.
“I’m really pleased we’ve been able to support the club. I wish them every success for the future and I hope they reach that magic number 20.”
