Redrow welcomed local school children to educate the pupils on how new homes are built.
All pupils from Honeywell Primary School spent a week visiting Redrow Midlands’ Kensington Gate development, in Worcester.
While there, the children were able to see a house at the beginning stages of being built through to the finished product.
As part of the visit the pupils were able to get stuck in with building work, such as screwing in sockets, sticking down tiles and laying bricks. They were also treated to sitting in a digger, which was enjoyed both children and adults.
Andrew Morley, Head Teacher at Honeywell Primary School, said: “We were delighted to be able to visit the construction site. A major focus for us this year is our Aspire Curriculum where we aim to give our children the opportunity to visit different workplaces and speak to professionals about their jobs and how they got to be successful in them.
“This collaboration with Redrow is the first of these aspirational experiences and the children found the whole thing absolutely fascinating, including observing the lifecycle of a house, talking to the workers and rolling their sleeves up to carry out building work themselves.
Elaine Cartwright, Sales Director at Redrow Midlands, says: “It’s always wonderful to have children visiting our developments. These pupils are the next generation of our workforce and it’s fantastic to be able to physically show them what a career in construction can look like.
“Our Kensington Gate development is in a wonderful location, just on the outskirts of Worcester, and one that is very popular with families. We hope that the children enjoyed their visit to the site and that they will return to one day live here.”
A range of popular two, three, four and five-bedroom properties are available at the Kensington Gate development, each featuring large open-plan living areas and elegant design details. The homes are part of Redrow’s award-winning Heritage collection, which couples 1930s charm with contemporary high-spec interiors, promising modern living spaces rich with character.
Kensington Gate is located in a peaceful, residential area, just minutes away from the beautiful city of Worcester. Surrounded by open green spaces, with a good selection of schools and superb transport links, this development promises to be popular with homebuyers.
