Good causes in and around Nantwich have a fresh chance to share £5,000 via Redrow’s latest community fund.
Having previously gifted £10,000 between eight groups and projects in the area, we are launching a second community fund to celebrate two years since the show homes opened at its Kingsbourne development in the town.
Anna Evans-Kerr, head of sales at our North West division says: “We are very pleased to invite more good causes to apply for a share of further community funding for the Nantwich area. We have previously helped very deserving groups who work hard to improve the lives of people in the area including Inner Trust Community Project, Apex Cheer Nantwich, Wrenbury Pre-School and The Wingate Children's Special Trust.”
We are now keen to hear people’s suggestions of how else the new fund may be able to help other groups.
“The idea of the community fund is to support small projects at the heart of local life by making a number of small grants that can potentially make a big difference. It’s all part of our commitment to creating thriving, sustainable communities where people love to live,” Anna added.
Since 2016 the housebuilder has gifted more than £100,000 to community projects across the North West via voluntary community funds linked to its new homes developments, with £10,000 of that money given out in and around Nantwich.
These contributions are in addition to injecting more than £2.5m into the area surrounding Nantwich, including improvements to the local primary and secondary schools and highways. There is allocation for a new community hub within the Kingsbourne development, including a commercial unit with shops and services.
Our Kingsbourne development is part of a consortium venture on the edge of Nantwich that will eventually comprise over 1,000 new homes. Our share will feature a wide mix of new homes, with three and four-bedroom homes currently available from £257,995. Since launching in 2018, more than 70 families have already made Kingsbourne their home.
