Launched to mark the continued development of our Woodford Garden Village, the £10,000 fund is helping groups who work with young people such as The Millenium Youth Bar, Cheadle Hulme Cricket Club and Queensgate Football Club. It will also help a number of community groups such as Woodford Community Council, who will use their donation to fund a Winter Festival, and Woodford Recreation Ground Community Orchard, who will purchase tree guards for their newly planted fruit trees.

Elanor Kortland from The Mindful Smile Company said: “The Redrow donation means that I can bring the wide-ranging benefits of mindfulness, which include improving focus, relaxation and wellbeing as well as reducing anxiety and depression, to many more people in our community. I am incredibly grateful and hope it persuades more people to give mindfulness a go.”

Occupying the former Woodford Aerodrome site, Woodford Garden Village is situated in Cheshire, just on the southerly border of Greater Manchester, and offers a ready-made community with a host of amenities on the doorstep, including its own pub and a primary school, plus a wealth of green spaces and play areas, parks and meadow areas.
