Childer Thornton Primary School received money from our community fund – linked to Ledsham Garden Village – that they have used towards equipment, materials and hiring professionals to provide a service designed to prioritise physical and mental health they call ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’.
Mrs Yarranton, head teacher at Childer Thornton Primary School, said: “Wellbeing Wednesdays are planned strategically through the school year to support the mental and physical health of children and staff. The lack of funding sometimes prevents us from being able to deliver more sessions so Redrow’s donation has meant that we can plan more in. The sessions have such a positive impact on our children’s health and wellbeing and we believe happy children have the best opportunities to learn effectively.”
Caroline Thompson-Jones area sales manager for our North West division said: “Wellbeing Wednesdays is a great initiative so we’re really pleased that our donation means that more can now be delivered. At Redrow health and wellbeing is embedded in our business and the new communities we create so helping Childer Thornton support healthy futures for its pupils ties in with our commitment to valuing people.”
