The local CofE Church which includes our Woodford Garden Village in its Parish received a donation from our community fund. The £10,000 fund has helped a total of ten groups in the area.
Vicar Rev David Russell explained: “For over a decade we’ve been using a projector and screen to display the words of the hymns, prayers and Bible-readings at the front of Church. This proved to be especially helpful during the Covid pandemic, when hymnbooks and service-sheets could not be used. It also helped lower the Church’s carbon footprint by reducing the amount of paper that was used each Sunday. However, the equipment was coming to the end of its life. But that’s where Redrow’s Community Fund came to the rescue. Thanks to their generosity, we’ve been able to perfectly replace our equipment and get things all back up-and-running again. We are really grateful to Redrow for helping us out as we go forward, and we look forward to welcoming more residents of the Garden Village into our Church community.”
Emily Carey, area sales manager for our North West division said: “Our community funds are designed to help groups within the areas we build homes to serve their community better and this donation certainly does that. We’re so pleased that we’ve been able to help Christ Church and its parishioners in this way.”
