The £10,000 fund is the latest in a long line of support we have provided to groups in the Hartford area.
Linked to the new homes developments at Weaver Park and Water’s Reach, the nine groups include a girls’ football team who are using the money to fund kits and trophies, a local rowing club who row on the River Weaver, a netball club who will set up a new programme for children ages 5-9 and a local primary school.
Caroline Thompson-Jones, area sales manager at Redrow NW, said: “We’re helping some great groups with this community fund, supporting people from different generations too. We are working with sports clubs for children and adults as well as a charity that is helping the community through the cost-of-living crisis via the distribution and provision of donated surplus food.”
The beneficiaries of the latest fund are:
• Women’s Walking Football Team
• Northwich Community Support
• Witton Wildcats Girls Football Centre
• Northwich Rowing Club
• Northwich Sapphires Netball Club
• Hartford Primary School
• Hartford and District Lipreading Group
• Hartford Stags U13s
• Weaverham Community Youth Football Club
Louise Smith, from 1874 Northwich Women’s Walking Football Team, said: “We are delighted to receive funding from Redrow. Our walking football group has grown massively in the last 12 months, so this funding will allow us to buy much needed equipment and a team kit for everyone involved.”
Weaver Park and Waters Reach, both located on Woods Road, currently have a selection of three- and four-bedroom properties for sale from Redrow’s Arts & Crafts inspired Heritage Collection.
