The first Macmillan Coffee Morning took place in 1990 and was a small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, Macmillan did it again the following year but this time they did it on a national scale. For more information or to donate visit the Macmillan website.
