Our South Midlands division, currently building at Leestone Park, on Heath Road, presented Heathwood Lower School with a £1,000 donation.
The funds helped the school, which teaches children from pre-school through to year four, purchase and install an outdoor climbing wall, forming part of their plan to promote physical activity with its pupils.
Mr Paul Dicker, Assistant Headteacher at Heathwood School, said: “It’s so important to engage children in physical activity from a young age and one of the key ways we aim to establish this with our pupils is by encouraging exercise through fun, outdoor play.
“We were delighted to receive a funding boost to help us purchase and install a climbing wall in our playground, the children absolutely love it and it’s such a joy to see the equipment already getting so much use. On behalf of everyone at the school, I’d like to say a big thank you to the Redrow South Midlands team for their support.”
