Coming directly from the local Redrow showroom, just a few minutes away from the hospice, these much-needed donations will be used in patient bedrooms and for staff training.
Two of the TVs will be installed in a couple of the patient bedrooms in the hospice's specialist palliative care inpatient unit - which is the only one in the county - bringing patients a large choice of channels, movies and games. The largest TV will be installed in the day hospice education room. This will be used to train large groups that will benefit from visual aid.
Alysia Cameron-Price, Community Fundraising Manager at the hospice, commented: “We are thankful to Redrow for their kind donation. At Sue Ryder, we try to make the patient experience as positive as possible, and these TVs are a great support to patients and their families”.
Fiona Fullilove, Area Manager of the Southwest, added, “We are thrilled to be able to help the hospice which is so local to our development. We know how important the comfort of their patients is and hope that our donation helps a little to support this.”
