A village scout hut has been given a makeover thanks to our funding, materials and volunteers.
The scout hut, based on West Leys Road in Swanland, has been given a refresh by the team, who took a break from their duties at our nearby development Swanland Heights.
The hut has been used by Ferriby and Swanland Scout Group and the community since 1996.
“Huge thanks to the team at Redrow,” said Liz Fraser, scout leader at Ferriby and Swanland Scout Group.
“The outside painting work has been completed and it looks great. The inside is currently being decorated and will be finished in time for the new scouting year.”
Steve Jackson, sales director for Yorkshire said: “We are always happy to help the community we are working in. In this instance we provided volunteers to paint the outside of the scout hut and funding for further paint and materials for the inside.
“We hope the hut is enjoyed by the community for many more years to come."
