The new range - named Abode – features distinctly modern designs for those seeking a different kind of living to the more traditionally styled homes for which Redrow is perhaps best known.
The first homes from the Abode collection will go on sale adjacent to Redrow’s Heathlands development, on Church Road, Buckley, on Saturday, January 11.
Introducing highly specified, open-plan living spaces and in-vogue features such as underfloor heating and wetrooms, the homes will provide an exciting new option for local homebuyers.
Anita Williams, sales director for Redrow (NW) explains: “Not everyone wants to live in a traditional looking home with period-style features. Some people want chic clean lines – and thus far have had limited choice unless they choose an urban city lifestyle, but many don’t necessarily want to live in the city. Abode will offer them a high specification with modern features and ground floor layouts that are almost totally open plan.”
Optional extras will include things like outdoor kitchens and high spec, low maintenance AstroTurf and lighting for gardens.
“These homes are versatile and cater for busy people who like to entertain, but equally they provide the comfortable sanctuary buyers expect from Redrow,” Anita added. “Young professionals and active downsizers who live a very sociable lifestyle will each be at home here,”
The launch comes as Redrow enters its 40th anniversary year and proves that the developer is still at the forefront of innovation and design after many years as one of the UK’s leading housebuilders.
Abode will feature a choice of two and three-bedroom homes. Exterior brickwork, render, window styles and doors present an ‘uncluttered’ but very smart façade and there’s the careful consideration and extra design details that Redrow’s renowned for. The specification is on par with Redrow’s other designs, including its Heritage Collection, which will continue to be built alongside the Abode homes at Heathlands.
Abode is set to be rolled out across England and Wales over the next 12 months.
Neighbouring Heathlands, in Buckley, is a popular development, less than three miles from Redrow’s head office at St David’s Park, Ewloe.
With Chester city centre only 10 miles away, it’s likely that people will appreciate the benefits of a modern, city-style home in a more rural location. They will still have easy access to the shops, entertainment and culture that a major city offers and be able to return home to a quieter, more relaxed environment – without making any style sacrifices on the home front.
Two fully furnished Abode show homes will open on January 11, alongside a new ‘sales hub’, where visitors can find out everything they need to know about the homes. The interior design of the show homes will feature statement colours, fabrics, furnishings and accessories.
