Advice and answers for homebuyers in Wigan

Those who've made it their New Year’s resolution to move to a brand new home in Wigan in 2013 are being urged to visit College Court this Saturday (January 19).

From 11am to 4pm Redrow is hosting a homebuyers’ surgery and, with the help of mortgage specialists, will be giving customers’ finances a health check and guiding them through the various incentives available.

Visitors will be able to discover how the NewBuy scheme could enable them to purchase a stylish new home with only a 5% deposit; while existing home owners will be able to learn how Mastermove could help them secure a buyer so they can move quickly and easily. House hunters will also be able to find out how Redrow’s easi:buy scheme can reduce the cost of buying a home.

Julie Harper, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: “The New Year is a time for new starts and our message for those who are thinking of moving home in 2013 is simple – come and talk to Redrow.

“We’re committed to customer service and want to make moving simple and stress-free for purchasers, which is why we’re holding a homebuyers’ surgery at College Court this Saturday. Visitors will be able to talk to our friendly, experienced sales consultants and mortgage specialists about the incentives available to help make moving to their dream home a reality.”

College Court features a good choice of two, three and four-bedroom properties ranging from apartments to detached family homes with prices from as little as £99,995.

Those who take advantage of NewBuy or Redrow’s own easi:buy scheme could find that savings of around £5,000 are enough for a deposit for a two-bedroom apartment.

The Government-backed NewBuy scheme enables people to buy a brand new home with a 95% mortgage and 5% deposit. It’s great for first time buyers, but can also be used by other groups of purchasers including those who want to move buy perhaps don’t have substantial equity in their current home.

Redrow’s own easi:buy scheme also enables customers to purchase a property with only a 5% deposit. It enables buyers to defer paying up to 20% of the price for up to 10 years, making homeownership more affordable.

Alternatively, buyers with a property to sell could enlist a tried and tested local agent to market their home through Redrow’s Mastermove service. Redrow will monitor the agent’s activity and even pay their fees.

Located off Robin Park Road, College Court is centrally placed for local amenities including supermarkets, a retail park, cinema, sports facilities and restaurants; while Wigan’s Grand Arcade shopping centre boasts a range of popular high street stores, cafes and bars. The homes are also within easy reach of the M6 motorway and rail network for commuting.

To find out how Redrow could help you move to a brand new home in 2013, visit College Court this Saturday (January 19).
