WITH UK property prices expected to rise by almost a quarter by 2018, savvy buyers are coming to Manchester to invest in a new home.
Recently named the best UK city to live in The Global Liveability Survey, Manchester’s population continues to boom as home buyers take advantage of low interest rates and Government initiatives like Help to Buy.
Taking note of the increased demand for family homes in the North West, homebuilder Redrow launched a stunning new development, named The Birches, in Altrincham at the end of August.
Forming part of Redrow’s larger Stamford Brook development, the homes have been selling at a phenomenal rate.
Barely six weeks since The Birches was launched 20 homebuyers have reserved one of the in-demand properties. In fact, such has been the level of interest at the development, Redrow are now set to release a new phase of three and four-bedroom homes just to keep up with demand.
Anita Williams, sales director for Redrow Homes (NW), explains: “We had certainly anticipated a high level of interest from discerning Altrincham purchasers ahead of the launch of The Birches but the sales rate has surpassed our expectations.
“We knew from our success with previous phases at Stamford Brook that there was a huge local demand for high quality family homes. And with The Centre for Economics and Business Research predicting the average UK house price could jump 23.7 per cent by 2018, we expect that demand to remain high.”
Built on land formerly owned by Trafford College, the development itself enjoys a semi-rural feel with acres of open space, woodland walkways and a meandering brook forming part of the site. For families looking to make the move to Altrincham, the area is home to a number of top-performing schools.
