Emma finds a new 'home' with Redrow

With 2014 still being declared the ideal year to move home*, Emma Lafferty is settling into her own new position at Redrow Homes.

Emma, 36, has been appointed area sales manager for Redrow’s Lancashire division, bringing with her a wealth of property sales experience to the role.

She will oversee sales across some of the homebuilder’s key locations such as Buckshaw Village and Sandhurst Gardens in Chorley; Hanson Gardens, Woodville Gardens and new phases of regeneration in Moston and Harpurhey; Foxlow Manor and The Chase in Preston and College Court in Wigan. She will also be responsible for new Redrow ventures at Heritage Green in Culcheth, Warrington and Lucas Green in Whittle-le-Woods.

Emma commented: “This year is promising to be a big year in residential property with all the various help available really contributing to getting the market moving again. I’m relishing the opportunity to build on this at Redrow and make sure that developments under my control don’t lose that momentum and are all high performing.”

Emma’s first job 14 years ago, after graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in economics, was at property consultancy Savills in Manchester, where she became sales and marketing manager in the new homes department. She left there in 2008 to take up a role at a Stockport housing association and gear them into taking on a private sector approach to sales and marketing.

However, Emma, who lives in Worsley and will be based at the division’s headquarters near Chorley, thought this year was the year to get back into the private sector herself and when the opportunity arose at Redrow she jumped at the chance.

“Having worked in property for many years, I was already aware of Redrow’s impressive product portfolio. You can spot a Redrow home a mile off as they are so distinctive and ooze quality. I’m looking forward to taking that trusted reputation further,” she said.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow (Lancashire) added: “It’s great to have Emma in the team as she brings with her strong knowledge of the industry and the area. Emma is joining Redrow at a very exciting time for the housebuilding sector and Redrow generally but, more specifically, for the Lancashire division. We’re making bold expansion plans across the region with some existing ventures being developed further and lots of new homes coming soon.”

In addition to the areas that Emma will oversee, the award-winning housebuilder is also selling homes at a number of other prime locations, including Lancaster, Lytham, Fleetwood, Blackpool, Southport and Liverpool.
