'Home Bird' Janice is North West Sales Consultant of The Year

There's nothing Janice Tippett loves more than getting outdoors and pottering around in her garden.

“I love looking after my own house, I’m a real home bird,” says Janice. And that’s probably why she is so good at selling them!

Janice, from Stone in Staffordshire, has been voted North West sales consultant of the year for award-winning developer Redrow. The mum-of-one is delighted with her award and reckons the reason for her success is simple: “I enjoy what I am doing. I love my job.”

Janice received her award for the period spent at College Green in Crewe - which is now sold out. But she has moved to a new development in the Cheshire village of Hartford - Weaver Park.

Says Janice: “I have been here since October and sales are going really well. The Oxford and Cambridge properties are proving really popular and Hartford itself is just a lovely part of the world with a real rural feel to it. It is just a beautiful place to be and our homes, which are from our Heritage Collection, fit in really well. It’s all starting to take shape.”

Janice has always been involved in sales but began her career in the retail sector before moving to the world of property. She has been with Redrow for 13 years.

“I have always been interested in property and selling homes is certainly much more interesting,” she says. “The purchaser process is longer, so you get the chance to build a rapport with a person and that’s really important to me.

“You’re part of an important journey in a person’s life and everything is building up towards moving in day which is really exciting. It is a big day for a homeowner and you want to be sure you have got everything right for them, whether they are a first time buyer or someone buying their first family home or someone downsizing.”

Janice smiles: “The only sad part of my job is moving from one development to another because you have got to know people. It’s nice that you are leaving them happy in their beautiful new homes - but I have shed a tear or two.”
