Hundreds express Interest in Redrow's West Derby Homes

Redrow is expecting a flurry of sales when it launches its newest development in Liverpool later this month.

It will be the first time the builder has unveiled its Regent Collection of homes in the city, when it opens Regency Manor in West Derby, on Saturday, June 24.

The opening follows a preview event at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool John Lennon Airport Hotel in Speke, when around 200 people attended to discover more about the house styles and an overview of the Mill Lane development.

And it left Redrow sales director Claire Jarvis with no doubts about the high levels of enthusiasm and interest in the new homes.

Claire said: “The huge number of people who attended the preview event indicates just how popular Regency Manor is going to be. Although we weren’t taking reservations on the day, those who were there were able to arm themselves with information about the development and the styles of the homes, ready for when we open the doors to the sales office at the end of the month.”

Regency Manor will be a collection of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties on the former site of Holly Lodge Girls’ College, which has already relocated to new, purpose-built premises nearby.

The development falls under the umbrella of the Liverpool Housing Partnership, a collaboration between Redrow, Liverpool City Council and Liverpool Mutual Homes, which sees receipts from land sales ring-fenced and reinvested by the council into affordable housing. The building of private sale homes by Redrow directly subsidises the building or refurbishment of LMH properties elsewhere. Among schemes made possible under this arrangement and recently completed by LMH is Hewitson Road; new homes for affordable rent on the former site of Larkhill Library, off Queens Drive.

Previously, Redrow’s Liverpool developments have boasted styles from its award-winning Arts & Crafts inspired Heritage Collection. This is the first time in the city that there will be homes available from the Regent Collection, which echoes the classic Georgian style architecture of the Regency period, with impressive character-filled frontages that exude a sense of grandeur.

Like the ever-popular Heritage Collection, however, inside each home is a clean and contemporary interior which boasts high quality fixtures and fittings.

“The Regent Collection is by no means designed to replace the Heritage Collection, but to offer customers an even greater style choice,” added Claire. “And judging by the response at the preview event, they like it. We received great feedback on the Regent style and the range of homes we plan to offer.

“With between two and five-bedroom homes, the development will appeal to a number of people, from those just getting a foot on the property ladder, to families looking for somewhere to expand, professional couples and those looking to downsize now the children have fled the nest.”

Regency Manor will feature 51 brand new Regent Collection homes. Later, the development will also offer nine refurbished properties within carefully renovated Grade II listed buildings.

Regency Manor will benefit from a host of amenities including superb schools and colleges, and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby; and Liverpool city centre is just three and a half miles away with all that it has to offer.

Would-be home owners are invited to the sales office when it opens and those who missed the preview can find out more now and register an interest via www.redrow.co.uk/regencymanor or by calling 0151 515 6364.
