That experience has cemented her wish to work for a developer whom she believes offers the high quality, traditional looking family homes that most people want to buy, as well as being a business that is committed to training and developing the skills of its staff.
Claire (pictured), 34, has joined Redrow from Persimmon Homes, where she was previously sales director in the West Midlands and had previously overseen the sales operation of their Charles Church brand from Windermere in the north to Stafford in the south.
Fourteen years selling new homes, including national selling agent roles with Hamptons International and Knight Frank, she began her housing industry career as a sales consultant on site.
“My parents had owned three brand new homes in a row so I had grown up on new housing developments and it was while chatting to a sales consultant at one of them that she suggested I would be good at the job. I decided to give it a go and quickly found my niche,” said Claire.
“I’ve always admired Redrow from afar and it’s great to finally be on board. The team I’ve joined in Chorley is led by a managing director who’s worked here for over 40 years and many other people have been here a long time too. People are clearly very proud and happy to work for Redrow, which says a lot.”
Based at Buckshaw Village, with a patch that includes several successful developments on the Fylde Coast, as well as Preston, Chorley, Rochdale, North Manchester and Merseyside, Claire is looking forward to helping Redrow secure the extra sales that will increase its market share even further. She’d also love to be a managing director herself one day.
“Redrow is known for investing in its people and has one of the industry’s best records for training and development. I would love to progress my career here,” Claire added.
She lives in South Manchester with her husband John, who is also a former Redrow sales director and now runs his own independent sales, letting and property management company.
