Father Christmas, schoolchildren, a pop choir and a brass band have joined festive forces to entertain the Huntington community and raise money for a local hospice.
All ages were catered for at Redrow’s Regent’s Grange venture with mince pies aplenty and mulled wine for the adults, while children were able to meet Santa and Redrow’s mascots Buster and Buddy. Local businesses generously donated prizes for the charity raffle in aid of The Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
The festivities were complemented with a backdrop of traditional songs and carols, courtesy of the children from Huntington Primary School, Chester-based Deva Brass Band and The Northwich Pop Choir.
The ‘A Very Redrow Christmas’ event was attended by the Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Razia Daniels as well as local families who were able to sneak a peek at Redrow’s beautiful Heritage Collection homes at Regent’s Grange and chat to existing residents.
Jason Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (NW) said: “It was fantastic to be able to welcome Father Christmas and all of the wonderful entertainers to Regent’s Grange. The three show homes were an incredible backdrop to the event and we hope everyone had a great time and for those thinking of buying here, or at our other Huntington development Earl’s Park, they would perhaps have a glimpse into their Christmas future.
“All of the proceeds from the event will go to The Hospice of the Good Shepherd to support the amazing work they do in the community.”
Melanie Cowieson, corporate fundraiser for the hospice, said: “It was amazing to see such a fantastic turnout at the event and we’re incredibly grateful that Redrow has supported us. The Hospice needs to raise more than £2.5 million each year to provide its services and relies on the generosity of the community as a whole to help raise this amount.”
For those wishing to carry on the Christmas magic after the event, Redrow has a range of two, three and four and five-bedroom homes on sale in the sought-after village location, which is within easy reach of Chester city centre.
