From support for local schools to village hall improvements, new sports kits to community woodlands, housebuilder Redrow Homes is on the lookout for local projects to support in Bangor.
Redrow is building two, three and four-bedroom new homes at Goetre Uchaf, on the outskirts of Bangor, commanding views across the breath-taking North Wales countryside.
In a bid to further engage with the local community in which it is building, Redrow is on the hunt for groups in need of help in the surrounding area.
Jason Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “We really value our relationships with local communities and are very much looking forward to supporting organisations in and around our Goetre Uchaf development in Bangor.
“Over many years we have offered much-needed funding to hundreds of projects across a wide range of types and sizes, the length and breadth of the country. We are keen to work with community groups, sports clubs and charities and to find new ways to make a difference.
“With this in mind we’d like to invite the local community to suggest projects that they think we might be able to help with and we’ll endeavour to provide assistance where we can.”
Redrow wants to offer support to as many local groups and organisation as possible and has set a £5,000 budget for pockets of community funding, in addition to substantial investment through its section 106 commitments with the local authority.
“Rather than give all the money to one organisation or project, we’d like to make a number of smaller grants to help as many people as possible,” Jason said. “We’re interested to hear what people need – and how it will make a difference.”
The Goetre Uchaf development, on the outskirts of Bangor, enjoys a superb and enviable location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and close to some of the North Wales' finest countryside.
Featuring Redrow’s award-winning Heritage collection, the homes combine traditional craftsmanship and architecture and bright, modern, practical interiors. Just recently Redrow opened three new brand show homes to help home buyers picture the lifestyle on offer there.
Those wishing to nominate a project for Redrow to consider should email firstname.lastname@example.org
