Blackpool site manager seals his excellence

Redrow’s Stuart Bullough, from Blackpool, is now officially one of the top site managers in the country after gaining another coveted industry accolade.

He’s just been awarded a Seal of Excellence by the NHBC (National House-Building Council), placing him nationally in the top 1% of his profession.

Stuart, who’s in charge of building 67 new homes at Whitehill Meadows, off Lytham St Anne’s Way, progressed to this higher level of the NHBC’s Pride in the Job competition after picking up a Quality Award in June.

He learned of his latest success at a glittering ceremony held at the Hilton hotel in Manchester. Judged on consistent attention to detail, the Seal of Excellence title shows that Stuart has scored highly for the quality of his workmanship on site at every stage of the build. He would also have been judged on his leadership skills, technical expertise and health and safety processes.

Stuart, 41, said: “It’s certainly a career highlight to have built on the Quality Award and gained a coveted Seal of Excellence for the work we have done at Whitehill Meadows. The award backs up our ethos at Redrow for taking pride in our work and making sure we produce high quality homes. We believe the one purchase in life where you want the highest quality is your own home, and for that we are extremely proud to deliver.

“It’s great to have our hard work recognised in this way and it shows that when it comes to owning a home that looks traditional but offers bright, modern open plan living, the Heritage Collection homes at Whitehill Meadows are definitely built with pride.”

Stuart, who’s worked for Redrow for nearly 11 years, will be able to add his latest accolade to his growing collection of awards. Prior to his Whitehill Meadows honours he also won an NHBC Quality Award for his work at Harbour Village, Fleetwood in 2012; and, earlier this year, he collected a highly commended health and safety award from the NHBC, one of only 22 won in the UK.

The Heritage Collection homes that Stuart and his team are building on the edge of Blackpool are inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts movement. Externally the homes look very traditional; while inside they are highly specified and full of family-friendly features. For more information visit www.redrow.co.uk/whitehill.
