Two Great Locations in Widnes

Homebuyers will be spoilt for choice when award winning Redrow Homes launches the second of two ventures in Widnes.

Lancaster Place, on Lunts Heath Road, will feature some of Redrow’s largest and most luxurious four-bedroom detached family homes.

Opening on Thursday, September 13, the new development will complement the already popular Barrow’s Green venture of three and four-bedroom family homes, which is just a short distance away on Barrow’s Green Lane.

The opportunity to purchase any of the homes with a 95% mortgage through NewBuy will make them an attractive proposition.

The developments are on the northern and easterly fringes of Widnes, bordered by open fields, and within easy travel of Liverpool, Warrington and Manchester, as well as Widnes town centre.

They’re both a short distance from the M62 motorway for commuting, while Widnes train station – where Paul Simon famously wrote ‘Homeward Bound’ in 1965 – is just over a mile from Lancaster Place and offers journey times to Liverpool and Manchester of around 30 minutes.

Economically, Widnes is a place that’s on the up with significant inward investment in recent times. There’s approval for a second Mersey crossing, a new cinema and bowling alley have opened at The Hive leisure park, with a new ice rink soon to follow, there’s a recently opened £40 million Tesco Extra 24-hour store in the town, as well as the new Widnes Shopping Park with Marks & Spencer, Boots, Next, Bhs and Costa Coffee among its stores.

Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “There’s a definite buzz about the town and we’re glad to be part of it. Our homes offer a great opportunity for local people to step onto the property ladder or trade up to something larger and at the same time offer those moving into the area a good choice of quality homes.”

Redrow’s New Heritage Collection, which features at both Barrow’s Green and Lancaster Place, has already won critical acclaim and awards, as well as customer approval.

“The traditional looking Arts & Crafts inspired exteriors are evocative of the homes many people grew up in, whilst inside they are bright, modern and full of family friendly features.  As a result they offer the very best of both worlds – the period style features that people crave combined with all the modern day attributes they need for today’s busy lifestyles,” Elaine added.

The fully furnished show homes at Barrow’s Green have already wowed customers with the quality of their specification and finish.  The new homes at Lancaster Place will raise the bar even further with additional features such as an integral dishwasher included as standard in the kitchen specification and en-suite bathrooms designed as wetrooms.

“Between these two developments we’ll offer something for pretty much everyone,” Elaine added.  “Our marketing suite opens at Lancaster Place on September 13, when we’ll be taking reservations ‘off-plan’ and our two new show homes here will be ready for viewing at the end of October.”

Meanwhile the four-bedroom Cambridge and three-bedroom Warwick show homes are open daily at Barrow’s Green, where there are currently three and four-bedroom detached homes available from £201,995 to £279,995.

Four-bedroom homes at Lancaster Place are set to start at £281,995 and some two and three-bedroom properties will also feature.
