Don't miss the boat in Newton Kyme!

Mention Henley and people automatically think of the famous Royal Regatta – but for Redrow it’s the name of one of their most popular family homes.

And there are four Henley designs, including the show home, among just nine homes remaining at The Rectory at Southbank, a stunning development on the edge of Newton Kyme and very close to Boston Spa; so unless buyers launch into action soon they could see their new home hopes sink without trace!

“The Rectory is a collection of beautiful stone built, four-bedroom detached properties in a picture-postcard location, so it isn’t difficult to see why this has been a wonderful location with lots of people wanting to live there,” says Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire).

“But all good things come to an end and, while we have - and will have - other such charming developments in the area, customers could end up disappointed unless they move quickly.”

There are now just nine of Redrow’s Arts & Crafts inspired homes available at The Rectory, where prices start from £459,950. A start price of £524,950 is attached to the Henley, a large, prestigious four-bedroom home with style and practicality in equal measure.

Undeniably impressive with a double garage and two en-suite bedrooms, the Henley has a fabulous family, dining and kitchen area, which spans the entire width of the house overlooking the rear garden and would become the heart of the home, along with a spacious lounge, cloakroom and utility.

Oozing character and charm, it is ideal for growing families looking for something special, a modern and contemporary home enveloped within a beautifully landscaped setting that has totally transformed an old factory site. With its tree-lined approach, welcoming clock-tower and planned cycle route into Boston Spa, Southbank is a very special place.

And the location is just as perfect. Liz Wilson, 44, a communications manager for Lloyds Banking Group, moved to the development with her family last year. “And we absolutely love it,” she says. “We are so settled in our home; it’s just wonderful. The children have already said they never want to move again!

“It is countryside living yet only a minute or two from Boston Spa.”

All of the remaining homes can be purchased with the government-backed Help to Buy scheme, which reduces the initial outlay by 20% with an equity loan that’s interest free for five years. This means the homes can be bought with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage from a lender of choice. It brings the initial outlay for a Henley down to £419,960.

And for those with an existing home to sell Redrow’s Mastermove scheme takes the stress out of the moving process by selling a customer’s property for them, arranging valuations and appointing an estate agent. Redrow will even help with estate agent fees and, in some cases, even pay them completely.
