Double delight for North Yorkshire developments

Success is twice as sweet for housebuilder Redrow after not one, but two of its North Yorkshire developments were Highly Commended at the prestigious UK Property Awards.

Devonshire Gardens, Harrogate and Southbank in Newton Kyme both won praise from judges who hailed them winners in the residential development category for North Yorkshire at a gala ceremony held in London.

It is the second success for Southbank, which was also a finalist in the best large development category of the Yorkshire Residential Property Awards, organised by children’s charity Variety.

And it highlights the popularity of these developments and Redrow’s choice of Heritage Collection and Regent Collection homes, both of which are already firm favourites with house buyers.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), said: “We are doubly delighted to be Highly Commended for two of our North Yorkshire developments. Our new homes at both locations have been incredibly popular and these wonderful prizes from the UK Property Awards are further evidence of Redrow’s reputation for quality.”

Southbank, in Newton Kyme, features two developments side by side and has totally transformed a redundant industrial site with beautiful stone built houses and green spaces. St Andrew’s Place with its Georgian influenced Regent Collection homes is already sold out, while The Rectory is into its final phase with around 10 of the Arts & Crafts inspired Heritage Collection family homes remaining.

Devonshire Gardens in Harrogate also combines Heritage and Regent Collection homes in one location – offering customers a wider choice of properties to suit their lifestyles.

“These awards don’t just prove the popularity of our homes or the locations in which we build; more than that they are a testament to the hard work and commitment shown by everyone at Redrow from the designers to the builders, to the sales team and beyond,” Patsy adds.

“These commendations credit the trust people have placed in us in the past and give a confidence boost to those people thinking of buying a Redrow home in the future.”

Current availability at The Rectory includes The Harrogate, priced from £459,950. The care which has been afforded in this stunning home is evident from the classic charm of the stone work to the unique doorway design. Style hasn’t been sacrificed for practicality, however, and this house style offers a spacious, open plan dining/family area adjoining the kitchen, with a separate lounge and four large bedrooms, the master of which has an en-suite. The development is close to a choice of good schools and all the amenities of Boston Spa.

Replacing the former ground of Harrogate Rugby Club, in Claro Road, Devonshire Gardens is less than a mile from The Stray and within easy reach of the town centre, with good schools and parks all within walking distance.

“The homes at Devonshire Gardens suit a variety of purchasers from young professionals to families and downsizers, and a range of family-friendly features make them perfect for those with children,” Patsy says. “Schemes like Help to Buy, which reduce the initial cost by 20% and require only a 5% deposit, mean getting the key to a brand new homes has never been easier.”

Four and five-bedroom homes are currently available at Devonshire Gardens with more three-bedroom properties coming soon. Prices now start from £348,950 for the Cleveland Grand, an elegant five-bedroom Regent Collection townhouse with accommodation across three floors, while four and five-bedroom Heritage Collection detached family homes are available from £564,950.
