A free event in Ashbourne aims to help house-hunters get on the property ladder.
Experts will be on hand to guide house buyers through the process of purchasing a home on Saturday 7th September from 10am until 5.30pm at Redrow Homes East Midlands’ Henmore Gardens development, on Wyaston Road.
Those in the market for a new home can stop by and find out more about getting on the property ladder with ‘Help to Buy’, and take advantage of a free assessment with an Independent Financial Advisor.
The government-backed Help to Buy scheme means you'll only need a deposit of five percent. Buyers can then borrow 20 percent of the purchase price in the form of an equity loan, meaning you'll have access to more affordable interest rates typically associated with a 25 percent deposit.
The scheme is available when buying new homes up to the value of £600,000 and is available to both first-time buyers and house movers.

Mary Timlin, Sales Director for our East Midlands division, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for people in the region to buy their dream home – and show them just how simple the process can be.
“In fact, owning a home can often prove cheaper than renting thanks to initiatives such as Help to Buy. The popular scheme has already helped more than 150,000 people purchase their own home – and we hope that this event will help even more. We’d encourage people in Ashbourne and further afield to come along!”
Henmore Gardens is a sought-after development of two, three and four-bedroom homes which is located on the doorstep of the Peak District, in Ashbourne. According to a recent study, the historic market town is the best place in Britain to raise a family, and Derby, Burton-upon-Trent, Stoke, Nottingham, and Stafford are all within easy reach.
