Take a walk on the wild side
A great day out doesn't have to be expensive or complicated, spring gives you lots of opportunities to see nature at its best, so get outside and enjoy the crisp spring days. Woodlands are thriving and hedgerows pull nesting birds back to our homes meaning you don’t have to go far to see what spring has to offer. Why not set yourself a challenge to walk 1k, 3k or 5k through your local neighbourhood, community garden or woodland?
Daffodils, lambs and bluebell lined woods should definitely be on your eye-spy list! Head down to your local park; create yourself a list filled with the wonders of spring and see who spots them all first. On our list we have Snowdrops, mini-beasts and birdsong, but remember the early bird catches the worm so you may need to head out first thing!
With the days getting longer there is plenty more time to get on your bike and enjoy the warmer weather. Cycle paths are perfect for a leisurely ride but, cycling is not only good for your heart, you’ll also save on transport costs too. You can find local routes at cyclemaps.org.uk and cycle-route.com. If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous why not head to a trail where you can really enjoy the outdoors and test your bravery on some off road tracks.
You don’t have to go far to find nature, it’s all around us. Why not capture the spring moment with your camera? Photographers call the last hour before dusk the golden hour because of the soft, photo-friendly light so march out with your camera in search of beautiful views and wildlife and discover nature. Take a picture of your favorite spring moment or top wildlife spot and create a beautiful, personal canvas print for your new Redrow home.
