Driven by its findings that not all home buyers want a ‘traditional’ family home, Redrow’s new Heritage Lifestyle designs cater for those with a slightly different take on life.
Perhaps the children have grown up and left home and now’s the ideal time to concentrate on yourself. Family bathrooms and small children’s bedrooms are no longer necessary and you can start to make use of space differently and encompass more of life’s luxuries.
Or maybe it’s time for your teenagers to have a bit more room and independence or you need to downsize to a more suitable property. It’s all about finding the space that works for you.
Redrow’s solution to these changes in the market has been to create new styles, adapted from its already popular Heritage Collection house types, responding to those requests for a more luxurious way of living.
Redrow’s Group design and technical director, Stuart Norton, explains: “Many parents find that when their children move into their own homes, there’s a need to reassess their own living requirements. The same goes for those approaching retirement or families with members that require their own independence. However, our buyers are not interested in compromising on style and luxury and they want as much usable space as possible, so these new styles have been created for them.”
In each of the five new styles, the high ceilings and Redrow’s renowned exacting specification and finish of the prized Heritage Collection remain. Those features are now complemented by larger living spaces, wider patio doors to let in more light and spacious en-suites to all bedrooms instead of having a family bathroom.
There are four three-bedroom styles to choose from, each adapted from its popular four-bedroom Heritage Collection counterparts. These are the Oxford Lifestyle, the Harrogate Lifestyle, the Stratford Lifestyle and the Leamington Lifestyle. While each maintains the traditional look on the outside with its Arts & Crafts inspired exterior, step inside and it’s all about deluxe modern living.
Master suites evoke that of a plush hotel and open plan areas downstairs make the perfect space for entertaining.
The Warwick Lifestyle with its two large bedrooms is perfect for a smaller family or perhaps an individual who wants an impressive space for friends or family to stay. The range of Heritage Lifestyle homes will be featured on developments nationwide where there is demand. So go on, take a look, maybe it’s time to spoil yourself.
