And they chose Bridgewater View, near Mosley Common, slightly further out from Manchester city centre than their previous property.
After buying their first Redrow home in 2015 at Abbot Gardens in Moston, product developer Hannah and her partner Nia needed more space for their young family. With a two-year-old son, Noah and a second child due in January, their next house needed to have room for everyone.
“We chose an Oxford house style at Bridgewater View mainly because of the fantastic living space at the back of the house” Hannah says. “The large kitchen and dining area and a separate lounge will allow us to spend lots of time together as a new family of four. The utility room that leads off the kitchen is also a godsend as it’s great for extra storage.”
The couple who are both 29, liked the look of Bridgewater View and felt like the area had a nice community feel to it.
“Redrow homes just have a lovely homely feel and the layouts really work for us,” Hannah adds.
With four generously-sized bedrooms, the master having its own en-suite and the remaining three sharing a family bathroom, the couple will still have space for when family and friends come to stay.
“We have family that live around the Manchester area and Nia’s mum looks after Noah two days a week for us so it’s great that we’re all close together; my parents live in East Yorkshire so the fact we’re close to the M60 and the East Lancs Road makes it easy for them too.”
To help facilitate their move, the couple used Redrow’s Help to Sell scheme that enables homebuyers with an existing property to sell it quickly and save money along the way.
“Using Help to Sell made the whole selling and reserving process less stressful, Redrow took care of much of the work, we knew that everyone was in contact with each other and we were kept up to date with the progress of our house sale without us having to chase,” Hannah explains.
They also used Redrow’s online reservation service; a first for the industry, this option is an additional service provided through the homebuilder’s award-winning members’ area, My Redrow. Buyers could already make specification choices and select additional upgrades to personalise their brand-new home once they’d reserved, but now they can legally complete the reservation online at their own convenience – even when the sales office is closed.
Hannah says: “Reserving the house online was as simple as it is to buy clothes or do a food shop online. It meant that Nia and I could properly read through everything on the website and do it all in our own time.”
Bridgewater View features a selection of three and four-bedroom new homes that start from £301,995 for a three-bedroom detached Amberley, while four-bedroom detached homes are currently priced from £307,995.
The development has proved to be a huge hit with homebuyers around Greater Manchester over the last couple of years.
Just nine miles from the city centre, and within easy reach of the extensive North West motorway network, the development is located in one of Greater Manchester’s most up and coming locations.
As well as being perfect for commuters, Bridgewater View also makes a superb base for families, with everything from outstanding schools to indoor skiing within easy reach.
