A Blooming Great Tea Party in aid of Marie Curie will be held at Oldfield Park
Enjoy a slice of cake and raise funds for a good cause.
Redrow’s Oldfield Park development is hosting a Blooming Great Tea Party in aid of Marie Curie on Saturday, July 13 and everyone is invited.
The Poulton development located on Carr Head Lane, will welcome guests between 11am-4pm and visitors will be asked for a small donation for their cream tea.
Lesley Myers, sales manager for our Lancashire division, said: “Marie Curie’s Blooming Great Tea Party will help the charity care for more people with a terminal illness.
“Over recent years we have hosted a number of events and raised money for various causes and we’re all very excited to host our first Blooming Great Tea Party. We are all touched by cancer whether that be ourselves or someone we know so I’m very pleased that we will be helping this highly respected charity and the support they provide.”
It costs around £70 for someone with a terminal illness to attend day therapy at a Marie Curie Hospice, benefitting from gentle exercise, art classes and more and £400 pays for someone to stay in a Marie Curie Hospice for a full day and night, so they can receive the hands-on care they need in their final days.
The Blooming Great Tea Party is an initiative run by Marie Curie to raise vital funds. Anyone can get involved, and there’s lots of tips, recipes and resources on their website to help make every event a success.
