She’s only been at Redrow’s Oldfield Park development in Poulton-le-Fylde for a couple of months, but sales consultant Angela Walton is already bracing herself for a brand new phase.
We have just released another collection of homes on the development off Carr Head Lane and the 48-year-old former cabin crew member is all geared up and ready for them to launch.
“It’s great because this will be my first chance to really have my own customers and liaise with would-be home owners from the outset.” said Angela, from Chorley.
“I came to Oldfield Park in July having joined Redrow earlier last year and, while I was sorry to leave the two other developments I’d worked on, it’s really exciting to come here. The location is great - only 10 or 15 minutes’ walk from Poulton which is a really pretty place, very up and coming with lots of new bars and restaurants.”
Mum-of-two Angela is finding the path from flight attendant to sales consultant a smooth one, transferring from the skies to ground level the customer care skills she has used with thousands of passengers over a 23-year career.
“I love talking to people and developing relationships and you do really get to know the customers buying a home,” she said. “Both careers are sociable and that’s what I enjoy. Handing someone the keys to a new home is rather special. It’s where they may be creating a whole new life, or a better life, where they will make memories.”
Oldfield Park has a variety of property styles with two and three-bedroom ‘Advantage’ homes available from as little as £136,000 and other three and four-bedroom homes currently from £229,995 to £369,995.
The Advantage homes are available to Poulton-le-Fylde buyers who can demonstrate a real need to purchase there. The initiative offers the opportunity to buy for 80% of the market value providing would-be owners have a household income of less than £60,000 and have lived in the Wyre Borough area for at least 12 months or have strong local connections.
