Redrow to attend Get Active Roehampton festivities once again
The Get Active Roehampton Festival is back for another year, and Redrow will once again be attending the fun-filled family day, providing the local community with the opportunity to see the latest plans for the Alton Estate Regeneration.
This year the event is taking place on Saturday 7th September and is organised by Wandsworth Council’s Regeneration Team. Once again, the festival will bring together local sports and activity providers with the aim of inspiring everyone to get active in their local area, along with live music, mouth-watering food, and appearances from local companies.
This year we are hosting activities in our own marquee, inclusing a hula hoop workshop and craft activities, as well as a showcase of the regeneration masterplan. We are also giving away free Redrow branded sports watches for all visitors!
James Holmear, Sales Director for our London division, said: “We are delighted to once again join the festivities at Get Active Roehampton for what is always a fantastic day for the community.
“Since being appointed as a development partner in 2017, we have been keen to work closely with Wandsworth Council and the local community, building on earlier engagement to develop a set of strong proposals which breathe new life into the area. We appreciate the importance of sharing our vision with the local community, so it is fantastic to be showcasing our plans at the festival again this year.”
We recently submitted a planning application for a 1,103-home development as part of a 10-year regeneration project. This will include the delivery of high quality, energy efficient homes for existing and new residents at Alton Estate, with each home designed for flexible long-term use. A range of housing choices will be offered in terms of size, type and tenure including replacement and affordable housing. As well as bringing much needed new homes to the area, the proposals include a number of key amenities for the new and existing community to enjoy including a new library, health centre and community hall amongst other key features.
Hoping to join the fun? Everyone is welcome – just pop along to Downshire Field (Bull Green, Alton Estate Danebury Avenue, London, SW15 4DU) on the 7th September. We look forward to seeing you there!
