WITH instant sales and dozens of buyers waiting in the wings, new homes close to a former World War II airfield in Staffordshire are off to a flying start.
Eager buyers were so keen to see inside Redrow’s latest Staffordshire show home that they arrived at Wellington Place in Fradley hours before the invitation-only launch.
Once inside the professionally styled and fully furnished four-bedroom Cambridge style show home, buyers were impressed by the quality and finish.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “Buyers had been keenly awaiting the launch of Wellington Place and were keen to view the show home at the earliest opportunity. We gave those who’d registered their interest an exclusive first look inside and soon after opening the doors and starting up the computer we had already taken two reservations, with a third sale secured just days later.
“We’ve welcomed a steady stream of visitors ever since and had lots of positive feedback. People love how the Heritage Collection combines the traditional architecture of the Arts & Crafts era, with high specification interiors designed to meet the demands of modern living.”
Located on Hay End Lane, the new Redrow homes are being built on land neighbouring an ex-airbase once used to train aircrew using Wellington Bombers and was the busiest airfield in Staffordshire during World War II.
Current availability includes three and four-bedroom properties with prices from £259,995.
And while the development has only just launched, it won’t be long before Redrow is welcoming the first residents.
“Work on site is progressing well and we expect that the first homes at Wellington Place will be ready to move into in December/ January,” Pauline added.
“We’d encourage those hoping to be part of this new community to access My Redrow, the exclusive members’ only area of the Redrow website, where they will be able to make appointments with the sales team, explore the different layouts and make their design choices.”
The new homes at Wellington Place are being built close to the Coventry Canal, just half a mile from the centre of Fradley village with the village hall, skate park and ball court, primary school, post office and village green all within a 10-minute walk; while Lichfield is 10 minutes away by car.
Along with the homes, Redrow will create a play area within the development and there will also be an area of public open space.
The company has also pledged to invest around £900,000 in the local community, with the lion’s share of funding allocated to local education.
The Cambridge style show home at Wellington Place is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm. To find out more, call 01543 331688 or see www.redrow.co.uk/wellington.
