Buying a home is a big decision and to make sure they made the right choice Sue and Graham Knight drove 160 miles before buying a new Redrow home at Great Park in Rubery.
The couple were living in nearby Rednal when they decided to move rather than upgrade their old home.
Sue explained: “We have bought new in the past and when we saw the Redrow show homes at Great Park we were impressed. We even drove to Bristol to view other house designs from the New Heritage Collection and decided to go for it.”
They eventually opted for a four-bedroom Salisbury, similar to one of the show homes at Great Park.
Sue said: “We both work with computers and don’t have the skills to be able to paint and decorate, not to mention modernise an older home. Buying new meant everything was done for us – energy efficient heating, a new bathroom and integrated kitchen appliances – we could just move in.”
She added: “Our new home is amazing. It’s got a really welcoming hallway with high ceilings and when you go upstairs there’s lots of natural light as there are four windows off the landing. It’s a very spacious property and really lovely – the kitchen is fabulous.
“After we reserved our new home Redrow made some refinements to the specification and it was a wonderful surprise to discover we’d have a bay window in the master bedroom and the en-suite would be a wet room. They also upgraded the floor tiles, which are very modern and beautiful. And all at no extra cost.
“Everything’s of premium quality including the customer service – Redrow have been very attentive to our needs. Other housebuilders we have bought from don’t compare. I would 100% recommend Redrow – they’ve been exceptional.”
Great Park features a choice of four, five and six-bedroom homes from Redrow’s sought-after New Heritage Collection. Prices start from £249,995 for a four-bedroom ‘Stratford’, while a Salisbury similar to Sue and Graham’s is available from £339,995.
“Great Park is an attractive place to live with local amenities you can walk to,” Sue added. “It’s got a sense of prestige as a listed church and established trees have been retained within the development. From our house you can look out over the trees – the views are simply beautiful.”
To experience the beauty of the homes for yourself, visit Great Park, where the show homes are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
