Homebuyers in Leicestershire will soon have even more to choose from with the launch of a third Redrow development in the county.
Already selling homes at Thorpe Meadow in Countesthorpe and The Orchards in Glenfield, the award-winning housebuilder will add Nightingale Gardens in Gipsy Lane, Leicester to its expanding portfolio.
Redrow has planning permission to build 127 homes on a 12 acre parcel land, part of the former Towers Hospital site.
Potential purchasers are being urged to register their interest now so that they can have their pick of the properties when they are released for sale at the end of the month.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), commented: “We have already experienced sales success with our New Heritage Collection homes at Thorpe Meadow and The Orchards and are anticipating that Nightingale Gardens will be equally popular. Initially the properties here will be sold ‘off plan’ as we work towards opening show homes. In the meantime we would encourage homebuyers to visit out other developments in the surrounding area to give them a flavour of what to expect.”
Nightingale Gardens will offer a choice of three, four and five-bedroom properties. Externally they will give a nod to the past, taking inspiration from the Arts & Crafts era. Inside they will be bright and modern with a high specification as standard. Kitchens will be well equipped with integrated top brand name appliances; while bathrooms and en-suites will enjoy quality fixtures and fittings.
“Customers who buy in a development’s early stages enjoy the advantage of having more properties to choose from and a greater chance of securing a home in their preferred position,” Pauline added.
“Plus, if they purchase before it’s physically built they will have the opportunity to personalise the interior by selecting the finish of things like the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom tiles.”
Along with the new homes Redrow will provide funds for the maintenance of a local play area and make a contribution to open space. The company will install speed cushions in Gipsy Lane and pay £60,000 towards other traffic calming measures, plus £10,000 for traffic management orders. The developer will also make a £45,765 contribution towards public transport in the area.
Potential purchasers can register their interest in the homes at Nightingale Gardens by logging on to www.redrow.co.uk/nightingale or by calling 0116 3195056.
