Junior Footballers Score Home Town Support from Redrow
Players from Stonydelph Boys Under 8s are sporting new training kits after teaming up with homebuilder Redrow.
The team, who play in the Tamworth Junior Football League, kicked off preparations for their second season together kitted out in new tracksuits and rain jackets thanks to sponsorship from Redrow.
The kit will help players keep warm and dry during training and when they’re not on the pitch during matches.
Manager Marc Barton said: “The team only came together in the weeks before the start of last season and have done really well to be competitive in all matches played so far. We have had praise from several opponents on the way we try and play the game. The sponsorship from Redrow will make a huge difference as it means that when players arrive for training or matches they look like a team.
“It’s really important for the future of the club that we promote it well and the tracksuits and rain jackets really help in doing this. The professional look of the team will help attract new players, which will be key when we move up from five aside to seven aside next season. It will also help attract players for other age groups.”
Stonydelph Boys Under 8s play their homes games at North Warwickshire Recreation Centre, just a short journey from Redrow’s Pennine Grange development and from the company’s divisional headquarters.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer home town support to Stonydelph Boys Under 8s. We hope they enjoy wearing their new tracksuits and rain jackets and that they have a successful season.”
The homes at Pennine Grange offer a winning combination of traditional Arts & Crafts inspired architecture and high specification modern interiors.
