With the final countdown of new homes at The Willows in East Leake underway, buyers are being offered a double dose of help to achieve their dream move.
Purchasers could use Help to Buy to reduce the initial cost of a brand new home; while those with a property to sell could secure a buyer with the aid of Redrow’s Mastermove service. They may even be able to combine the two.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), explains: “The Willows has really blossomed in recent months and as the development takes shape and more people have moved in we’ve seen an increase in enquiries from potential purchasers.
“Now, with more than two-thirds sold and only 10 homes available the clock is ticking and those with a house to sell face a race against time to secure a buyer. The good news is that for a small deposit we’ll take the Redrow home they want to buy off the market while they seek to sell theirs. To help them, we’ll enlist the help of local estate agents and manage the process on their behalf; we’ll even pay the estate agent’s fees at the end of the day.
“The aim is to sell the customer’s property quickly so that they can buy one of ours. And, once they’ve sold subject to contract, they could potentially reduce the initial cost of their brand new Redrow home by up to 20% with Help to Buy.”
Current availability at The Willows includes a three-bedroom semi-detached Letchworth, priced from £219,995, with a choice of four-bedroom detached designs priced from £299,995.
All of the homes are available with the Government-backed Help to Buy equity loan scheme. Those who buy in this way should only need a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage, with the remaining 20% covered by the equity loan. Crucially, the loan is interest free for five years.
“Help to Buy provides a real boost to people’s borrowing power, enabling them to either buy sooner than they anticipated or to stretch their budget and buy a bigger home that’s more suited to their needs or one they can grow into without having to move again,” Pauline adds.
Situated in an established residential area, between Nottingham and Loughborough, with Derby to the east and Leicester to the south, residents of The Willows can embrace village living in East Leake, but with easy access to several major cities.
