Redrow teams up with Northants school for sports day
Latimer Arts College in Barton Seagrave scored a winner by teaming up with those good sports at Redrow Homes.
As good neighbours Redrow jumped at the chance of supporting the college, which is close to its River View and Castle Fields developments. A donation of £200 from the housebuilder helped provide prizes for students who took part in a Commonwealth Games themed sports day.
Tonia Tyler, sales director for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), says: “We’re keen to play an active role in the communities in which we build and so were happy to support Latimer Arts College’s sports day. Sales consultant Caroline Laufer and assistant site manager Luke Judkins raced down there to handover the sponsorship”
Caroline was game enough to help judge the Commonwealth themed costumes and flags created by the students; while, after working off a few calories helping to build Redrow’s new homes, Luke raced to sample the homemade scones!
Assistant principal Jyoti Pankhania adds: “We encourage all of our students to enjoy an active lifestyle and sports day is a firm fixture on the academy’s calendar. Theming the event around the Commonwealth Games brought cross-curricula benefits with students putting their arts and crafts skills into action as well. We’re grateful to Redrow for being good sports and not only providing sponsorship but joining in with judging.”
